for voice and small ensemble.
Music by Francesco Accolla.
Lyrics by Giordano Falzoni.
Recorded by Maria Monti on the RCA Italiana album “Muraglie“.
Maria Monti was one of the leading figures of the Italian art song and theatrical music scene of the 1960s and 1970s. Her recordings brought together poetry, theatre, folk traditions and contemporary songwriting. The inclusion of La Bella Addormentata on the RCA album Muraglie documents an early collaboration between Francesco Accolla and lyricist Giordano Falzoni within that artistic environment.
