In 1981 I composed the original music for the RAI television adaptation of Cavalleria Rusticana by Giovanni Verga.
The production was directed by Memè Perlini, one of the leading figures of the Italian avant-garde theatre and television scene of the period, and starred Massimo Ranieri and Lina Sastri in the principal roles.
My contribution consisted of composing the original score for the production, forming part of my professional activity in Italian television before continuing my studies in the United States.
