PhonoSphere – The Tale of Water is an interdisciplinary performance work for piano, electronics, spoken text and field recordings. Structured in seven interconnected episodes, the work explores water as a physical, symbolic and narrative element through an immersive dialogue between acoustic performance and electronic sound.

Developed in collaboration with pianist Isabella Libra, PhonoSphere combines live piano performance, electronic processing, environmental recordings and spoken text to create evolving sonic environments in which composition, sound design and spatial listening become integral components of the performance.

The work was conceived as both an artistic project and a research platform. It forms the basis of my current practice-based research into Sonic Gravity, which investigates the perceptual behaviour of sound in immersive performance environments.

The project had its premiere at Teatro Foce in Lugano as part of the HOME concert series.
