Description

Caligola, written by Alfio Valdarnini and directed by Aldo Trionfo, was staged at the Teatro Parioli in Rome in November 1976. The production formed part of Trionfo’s Roman theatrical activity of that year, and was described by contemporary critics as an experiment in “teatro-night”, with the action unfolding around a piano placed at the centre of the stage.

I composed and performed the live stage music, appearing on stage as pianist throughout the production. The cast included Aldo Reggiani in the title role, Osvaldo Ruggieri as Cherea and Lorenza Guerrieri.
